About Chris

Why live virtual learning?

In mid 2019 I received the outline of a new six month leadership program being rolled out globally in our organisation.  In addition to a few two full day face to face sessions, there were several 90 minute virtual workshops included.  I remember discussing with some experienced colleagues at the time - saying "this is no way to do learning - people just won't engage virtually".

Then COVID happened and we couldn't be together physically.  As a "stop-gap" measure our team decided to run some local virtual programs. Since then I have had several moments of insight that have absolutely blown my mind:

Why Live Virtual Learning?

Am I against face to face learning? Absolutely not - for one thing the catering is usually much better!  But I have learnt enough about live virtual learning to see it as a viable, effective and impactful solution that is here to stay.
